Sheffield & District Referees Association are proud to announce the details of our Centenary celebrations.

• The FA Cup comes to Sheffield - At our March 20th 2008 meeting the FA cup will be available for a photo opportunity for members and invited guests. Your chance to hold aloft the famous trophy!
  
• The Centenary Dinner is booked for Saturday 24th May 2008 at the Cutlers Hall, Sheffield. Invitations have been sent to members of the FA. Some 400 people will be part of our celebrations in this historic venue. Many tables for ten guests have already been reserved by local organisations. Please note that ladies are, of course, most welcome.
• The season will see ten Local Heroes Awards being presented to supporters of referees, nominated by our members. With publicity in the local press, this will help to get the momentum going. The Local Heroes will be our guests at the Centenary Dinner.
• The Centenary Brochure is free to all S&DRA members. It charts our successes and struggles over the years and makes a fascinating read for anyone with an interest in local football.

Thank you for visiting our site. The Sheffield society has probably one of the largest membership of all branches of the Referee's Association. We hold regular meetings on the third Thursday of each month from August to May. Our current venue is the Carlton Social Club, 896 Gleadledss Road, Gleadless, Sheffield, and we start at 7:30pm.The subject of the meetings is varied - we have well known and not so well known guest speakers, sporting quiz evenings, and the occasional social get together.
