At the recent Slough Annual Sports Awards, long time member, Stuart Barnett won the Mewa Mann Award for Contribution to Sport.

Quiz team do us proud
The Slough RA quiz team did us proud at the recent RA quiz,after winning the County leg, they went on and finished a respectable 5th in the regional finals at Woking on 5th March.
Well done to Matt,Tim,Ollie,Andy and John Howse for their efforts,

Very Important information for every referee in England
The new FA directive regarding the new child protection law has been announced, which will mean every referee will need to take this course and have a CRB check done before the start of next season,
We would urge all referees to contact Robin Woolman for full details.
****** BE WARNED******
If you haven't attended a course and completed a CRB check before the start of next season, you won't be able to referee ANY game of football adults or youth

The Society welcomes referees in the Slough/Windsor/Maidenhead and surrounding areas.
Meetings are held at the Windsor&Eton Football Club on the Second Friday of each month. Meetings commence at 8pm . All members and non-members are welcome.

We are members of the Referees' Association and are affiliated to Berks&Bucks Football Association. We usually have around 40 male&female members enjoying each meeting aged from 14 to 114, from all standards of refereeing, We currently have members who officiate on the Giles Insurance,Thames Valley,Observer Industrial,Slough Combination and a number of senior leagues.(click links page for league details) Slough &District R.A is a member of the Referees Association.
Meetings are informal social occasions where we discuss all aspects of football and refereeing over a chat and a drink. At meetings we have either a guest speaker or a discussion topic for the evening. The Society holds a number of social events over the course of the season including quiz nights, skittle evenings, theatre visits plus many more.

Meritorious Service Award
In 1954 Ivor Harris, the secretary of Slough & District R.A., became the first member of our society to receive the M.S.A. 25 years later in 1979 Alan Tate, who was secretary at the time, became the second recipient of the award.
Now, a further 25 years on, we are pleased to announce that the current secretary, Robin Woolman, Was nominated for the M.S.A. and the award and was ratified at the R.A. Conference in Cardiff on 19th June 2004.
Robin has been the editor or our magazine, the Paludian Whistler for 24 years, our training instructor for 17 years and the secretary of our society for 16 years, so his service has been long and meritorious
The M.S.A. plaque was presented in December 2004 by Bart O'Toole
