WELCOME TO THE THURROCK REFEREES SOCIETY WEB SITE
Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month (August to May, Bank Holidays excluded) at the Lakeside Complex @ 8pm **Subject to Change, please keep visiting web stite for latest information.
We are members of the Referee's Association and are affiliated to the Essex County Football Association. We usually have around 100 members each season from all standards of refereeing. We currently have members who officiate on the Nationwide Football League, Conference, Ryman and Jewson Leagues. Thurrock Referees Society are a member of the Referees Association.
Meetings, are informal social occasions where we discuss all aspects of football and refereeing over a chat and a drink (a FREE buffet is provided). A vacancy for a Recuitment and Retention officer exsists. If any member feels that they can fill this roll, please contact the secretary.
REMINDER to all referees: we are reminded of the danger of boots which have studs/blades which have become damaged and can cause danger to other players **carry out a pre match check is the ONLY way of covering ourselves from any liability / and whilst we are checking studs, check for jewellery**
A REMINDER TO ALL LOWER LEVEL REFEREES; we are still required to wear the traditional black kit for our games and from July 1st you can wear a Black collared shirt and all Black socks.
