West Lindsey RA is based in central Lincolnshire. The society area covers referees in serving leagues in the Lincoln and West Lindsey Rural District and surrounding areas. Both Saturday and Sunday leagues such as West Lindsey, Lincoln and Lincolnshire Football leagues and Sills & Betteridge Lincoln Sunday FL, Lincolnshire Intermediate U18 FL and the Mid-Lincs Youth leagues for boys and girls. Small sided games midweek are also covered.
Meetings are held at the WELTON SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB RYLAND ROAD on the first THURSDAY in the Month from September through to May in the Season. Meetings commence at 7:30 pm. Members and their Guests are welcome. Click here for directions (Multimap.com)
We are members of the Referee's Association of England (RAE)and and are affiliated to Lincolnshire County Football Association. We usually have around 25 members each season from all standards of refereeing. We currently have members who are attending the Lincolnshire School of Excellence. We work very close with Lincoln City Football Club and support their junior team in the Football League Academy and School of Excellence. West Lindsey RA are a member of the Lincolnshire Referees Association.
Meetings, are informal social occasions where we discuss all aspects of football and refereeing over a chat and a drink. At meetings we have either a guest speaker or a discussion topic for the evening. The Society holds a number of social events over the course of the season including presentation nights and award. We comply with FA recommended training and development and offer mentoring schemes to newly qualified referees. Society News A NEW REFEREES FA APPROVED COURSE FOR BEGINNERS WILL BE RUN FROM OUR BRANCH TUESDAY 17 JANUARY 2006 AT WELTON SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB. FIRST SESSION STARTS 7:30 PROMPT AND WILL RUN FOR SIX WEEKS FINISHING WITH THE EXAM AND ORAL TESTS. ALL WELCOME OVER 14 YEARS OLD NO UPPER LIMITS. YOU COULD BE REFEREEING THIS SEASON IN LOCAL FOOTBALL!! COME ALONG AND CHECK IT OUT
Society Meetings
The WEST LINDSEY R.A. is the local association for all Referees in the district of West Lindsey and surrounding areas of Lincoln and Lincolnshire. We are an open society for all levels, ages and enjoy membership from girls and boys.
If you enjoy refereeing and want to know what is going on locally why not come to our regular meetings.
Meetings are arranged with guest speakers or a training topic for the evening and members report and discuss experiences from your local leagues.
In addition referees kit and supplies are available to purchase with our help from the Referees Association Shop.
Meetings are held at WELTON SPORTS & SOCIAL CLUB, RYLAND ROAD, WELTON (Bar open) each month on FIRST Thursday in the month at 7:30 pm in a private room. Free Car parking in the Welton Village Hall opposite.
